In our continuing series on new technologies, we've now looked at some pretty cool stuff. One thing that is coming very soon and is more expensive than the other things we've experienced is Glass from Google.The web link: http://www.google.com/glass/start/what-it-does/ will show you videos on what the experience is like and how it works. Most of the functions you can already do with your smartphone and a 4G network connection. The Glass-Factor is that it can be done hands free.
What's the impact? Maybe you've seen this app for Iphone and Android called WordLens:

Will Glass join the other tech-FAILS... Like the Mattel HoverBoard (That was supposed to be like the Hoverboard used by Marty McFly in the movie, BACK TO THE FUTURE or the Microsoft Surface Tablet. We could use them in school for purposes of reports. Like say we have to do a report on a field trip. We wear those so we can go over what we see to help us come up with things for our report. Adults can work with them like when they go on a business trip and they are going to a different place of the same company and they have to write about it or explain to their boss. Instead, they could just record it while they are there and take pictures as well. They would be very helpful especially if people have bad memory, they could use those and possibly remember more things by taking pictures and recording lots of things for purposes of themselves. people in school to become a doctor or nurse, they could have professional surgeons wear them while doing surgery for study purposes. These would be helpful for many, many, many things. And i only explained a few of them.

i think Google glasses will not be a success because 1) it coast to much 2) only like office workers and teachers will buy it or maybe it might be a success 3) because you for a glasses you dont have to wait and take a picture with your phone you can just take it right away 4) it could capture your memories really fast

it could be a big thing.but also could fail because it looks easily breakable.plus they dont look styalish.plus people will not pay 15 hundred dollars for crap.so thats what i think

i think google glass would only work in a quiet room so it could hear you clearly. i think people would just record instead of taking notes in school.it also looks like it would break easy. -owf 6 violeta r.

ReplyDeletei think the google glass wouold be useful with [people who can srr but the people who are blind wont be able to use it so that will be a fail and also it will be usefull.
I think it's going to be a complete. The most Positive things is that if you work in a office and you have a lots of files maybe you need to store it in there. Or maybe when cooking you need to look to at a recipe for a cake. Another Thing is that if you're a taxi driver and need to go somewhere really quick and it'll show you were to go.

Hia, It's Emma Rosowski. I'm in eighth period on odd Days. I think that business people can use them to help with presentations. Professional athletes will help with there training by recording when you do something. Middle schoolers will be able to do research on things they don't understand while in the class room learning.

Celeste Hernandez - 8owf.I can see Google Glass be used in Science classes to record science expiraments. It could also be used by teachers to record bad behavior. Some buisnesses lke fashion designers can use it while showing off their clothing line.Another way it could be used is just by normal people, so they can record all of thier best moments.
